Site Crashes - What to do when they happen (they will)
How to access the videos from this course
What You’ll Need
A Hosting Plan - We'll walk through this in class*
A Domain Name - may be included with hosting plan**
An Internet Connection
Preferably some headphones***
Microphone and webcam are OPTIONAL
*Price of hosting plan is not included in the prices of the course. Plan on an additional $60-75 for the first year of hosting. The price goes down when multiple years are purchased. We will cover purchasing a plan in class. For the record, only recommend BlueHost since they are the only shared hosting option endorsed by WordPress.
**Many server hosts include a free domain name with the purchase of a plan. If you don't have a domain yet, wait until the day of class and we'll all go through this step together. Just have some domain names, as well as some alternates, in mind beforehand.
***At the very least you'll need some speakers in order to hear the instructor.
