Monaro Screens is a shower screens, splashbacks and door screens company based in the ACT.
They contacted me to say they were considering a new logo, but werenât too comfortable with taking the step forward and all that it entails (vehicle signage, warehouse signage, website update, stationery, marking brochures, directory listing update and more - rebranding can be HUGE!)
So I stepped in and evaluated their sales messaging, their company values and their industry competition. Turns out they use the highest quality products and have customer service that is over-and-above, they thought that they gave off high-end vibes, but one look at their logo and my initial inkling was that theyâre probably much lower priced than their competition and probably use cheap labour. I would go to them if on a tight budget.
Iâm always honest, and I explained this to them, because I want to see businesses achieve their potential and visually match their service. They were a little shocked, but mostly knew in their guts that this was true.
Baby steps is key when a business is not 100% ready to move forward. There were aspects of their logo that they liked and so I designed a new one for them that wasnât completely reinventing the wheel. We kept the idea of a custom M which will simply replace the old M wherever it is used. We kept the simple font for their business name, but updated it and we swapped their signature tagline into a more personable font. We kept the same colours but added gold to represent their confidence.
This update is fresh and modern and they now fit a deserved space within their industry again instead of sitting back as the outdated one. Clients will still recognise them due to the subtle connections through colour and M reference.
