Broadsands beach, Watermouth
Getting to this beach is a massive pain in the A and I get SO stressed driving on the roads there and back (very steep, very narrow, very not designed for my 15-year-old Hyundai Getz). But if you have a bigger, more powerful car I’m sure it will be less stressful for you! And I promise it is worth the pain! This beach is one of North Devon’s most beautiful beaches, and feels like something from an adventure or pirate movie. It’s a tiny picturesque cove hidden within the cliffs, and you have to walk down over 200 steps to get to the beach.
If you’re visiting via car you need to park in the Sandy Cove Hotel car park, and then you can walk up Old Coast Road which runs behind the hotel, until you reach the entrance to the South West Coast Path. You then follow the path until you see the gate and the steps down to the beach. The viewpoint where this photo was taken is actually further up towards the Watermouth holiday park entrance, it’s a gate that goes into what looks like a field, but then you walk through the field and you’ll see the lookout spot!

Bude
Seaside towns in the UK tend to get a bad rep. Many of them are tired, a bit soulless and depressing. I was pretty nervous when my parents told me they were moving down to Devon & Cornwall and their nearest ‘big town’ would be Bude. It wasn’t the typical ‘popular’ place I had really heard of, not like St Ives or Newquay. But then I visited, and I fell a little bit in love with it. It’s full of incredible cafes and restaurants, cool beach bars, great pasty shops (Pengenna Pasties is the best place), and a fantastic selection of independent shops (think cute, modern homewares and clothes).
There’s a canal with a cute barge cafe (literally called, The Barge, – they do the BEST bacon sandwiches), and beaches are also beautiful, and each time I visit my parents, I can’t leave without a couple of walks along Summerleaze and Crooklets. The Bude Sea Pool is also super cool, and my mum and I had great fun swimming there last summer and then sitting in the wall in the sunshine – it almost felt like we were back in Australia! Bude has become one of those places were I just feel peaceful, and I find myself missing it when I’m back in London.

Cadbury Museum Tour
This was definitely a highlight for me – eating aaaaaall the chocolate on the Cadbury Museum Tour! Unfortunately you’re not allowed cameras or phones on the tour due to health & safety, so you have to put them in a locker before it begins. But trust me when I say you will leave on a total sugar high.
The tour starts with an intro to the chocolate making process, where you’re allowed into a room with machines filled with chocolate, and you can eat liquid chocolate and mix it with toppings etc.
Obvs I ate a mix of white, milk, and dark. You’re also given loads of chocolate bars that are made in the Dunedin factory (all of the NZ special bars that are marshmallowy and have soft centres). The tour is really interesting, and well worth the $22 cost.
Sadly they’re closing the Dunedin factory down and moving it all over to Australia to save money, but on the plus side, they’re making the factory into a HUGE museum, and it’s gonna have a MASSIVE chocolate waterfall wall, so that sounds awesome. So basically it’s gonna be even better when it reopens (it will be closed throughout 2018).

Breakfast at Vogel Street Kitchen
I started off my mornings with breakfast at Vogel St Kitchen, a very trendy cafe on Vogel St right by the Chinese Gardens and overpass to the Otago Peninsula. I went two days in a row as I loved it so much! One day I had ‘The Works’, which consisted of bacon, eggs, Cumberland black sausage, hash browns, tomatoes, mushrooms, and Ciabatta toast.
The hash browns were INSANE. The second time I went I opted for sweet, and had the Brown sugar buttermilk waffles with vanilla bean mascarpone and citrus rhubarb. It was also completely delicious, and I left each time feeling *very* satisfied.
The drinks were also on-point, the first time I went I chose a smoothie, and the second day I had a fresh juice. I was really impressed with the entire cafe, and actually thought it was very similar to those in Fremantle in Western Australia (which is a *very* good thing).

Location of Hillside Beach Club
We arrived into Dalaman airport on Thursday afternoon, and our lovely driver was ready and waiting for us at the entrance to the airport! Thankfully Hillside Beach Club is a very digital-savvy resort, and so the car we were in had free WiFi, which was ideal for our hour-long drive along the stunning Turkish coastline and through the mountains – you’re going to want to upload photos to Instagram ASAP.
The resort itself is set at the foot of a mountain on the coastline, right opposite the Greek island of Rhodes. This is a very safe part of Turkey and the entire Dalaman coast is incredibly safe. The resort is inaccessible to anyone who isn’t a guest, and there are guards stationed at the entrance to Hillside Beach Club.
We were lucky enough to jump out of the car at the top of the hotel entrance to snap some photos of the dramatic views…

Recently I spent five days at the luxury five-star Hillside Beach Club in Fethiye, Turkey, as part of their Global Influencer Meet-up. Every year they hold the meet-up with influencers from key markets all over the world, and this year I was incredibly lucky to be one of them.
I had THE BEST time ever over my five days there, and have so much to tell you all about and so many photos to share of the beautiful resort! So, grab a cuppa (or cocktail!) and settle down, this is a big one…
