The visual identity of Iknos is characterised by the use of a monospaced typeface. It is manipulated and redesigned through the use of a square matrix module that sculpts the letters and denote them with a very experimental, sharp and technological design. In the redesign phase, we preserved the readability of the font and gave more contrast to the strokes.

The square is the recurring leitmotif in the graphic identity system too. It is a symbol of firmness since ancient times, as well as stability and security, which are exactly what the company wants to communicate to its main market. Therefore, the use of a logo with a hi-tech and modular design highlights the core values of the brand Iknos.

28/06/21 - 28/09/21

On the occasion of the Foreign Affairs Ministers’ summit of the G20 People Planet Prosperity promoted by the Italian Republic, Ferrovie Appulo Lucane proposes Post Scriptum.
Post Scriptum is a site-specific intervention of exhibition design created by Nicola Miulli.
Miulli focuses on the meaning of Post Scriptum (P.S.), elaborating a visual theme to communicate the conversation between ethic and aesthetic of intentions. It takes place in Matera Central Station, redesigned by Stefano Boeri Architetti in 2018.

The term _Post Scriptum_ _(P.S.)_ is used as the premise to the ending note of a text. _P.S._ is a communication code extraneous from the contents directly conveyed by the spoken language, representing the need to specify what can be left out, yet inevitable consequences of what is written. They represent a call to attention for the politic of treaties, announcements, slogans: take stock! The consequences taking place today are real and do not wait for political charts. They are not subject to any agreement. What is overlooked in the official record, punctuates our reality through words that this intervention induces us to go through.
A selection of common and topical words is placed in the Station. Nicola Miulli interprets them in archigraphies with different styles, lettering and colours for a site-specific intervention which transports the passers-by into an immersive dimension. Everyone is required to find their relationship with the words. The distance between semantics and interlocutors is translated from a verbal to a spatial language, which is manifested by the movement of different meaning-recipients in the spaces inhabited by the daily transit of connecting trains.
