! It's so aptly titled as such, because bringing Nan and Charles to life for 🎃has been the stuff of nightmares for ...but worth the growing pains.
Wishing all a frightfully FUN time of year, and not to forget other moments in our lives we feel safe and comforted..especially by loved ones.
Not only those who are still with us in this realm, but those who have moved on to the next. We shall be lighting candles on of November 2nd to welcome back those visiting souls we miss so dearly🤍

Can’t seem to get off the ‘animation train’ for several weeks! But wanted to show you all a sneak preview of what is working on.
Currently, this piece is untitled and will be unveiled on .
But let’s give the characters a bit of an identity: ‘Nan, the Witch’🧙‍♀️and her black cat ‘Charles’🐈‍⬛. How do you think Nan and Charles will come alive?
You’ll need to check them out on 🧟‍♀️Halloween👻 - and DO!...to avoid unfortunate ‘hexing’!

Animation is a new skill for Liz Street Design, and we just recently finished animating our logo - what do you think?

It’s become really trendy to animate logos to give a fresh perspective to your brand. Many big brands have done this to ‘reinvent’ themselves.

Disney only added the fairytale castle to the ‘Walt Disney’ typography sometime in the 80s, and then they animated the castle with the development of animation software over the years since.
It was clearly very effective as the brand has only grown its audience.
That special magic moment of the castle appearing combined with the instrumental crescendo - could we imagine Disney any other way?

Happy International Cat Day 2023!
Felines have a special place in our hearts at Liz Street Design.

Our purpose of the day: keep an eye out for these mischievous 'poops' and an ear out for a sneaky meow, so we can give them well deserved love with kibble and catnip!
For all the other 'devils'😻 not in our neighborhood, we created a gif to demonstrate our worship from afar. Sphynx are fascinatingly unique, and they don't get as much attention as their furrier family members. That's why they're the star of our gif in this post because they love and deserve a 'cuddle puddle nap' as much as we all do.

In our last post, we shared a poster digitally created in Photoshop with a risograph effect to celebrate the sumptuous pizzas of our favorite local pizzeria.
This video showcases the incredible local and international talent in riso printing, and it's but a FEW of prints which inspired us to mimic that nostalgic risography effect in our graphic for Luigi's!

Luigi's Pizzeria quickly won my taste buds and has won the title of 'neighborhood-go-to-pizza-when-i-can't-be-bothered-to-cook-dinner'.
SO, I created what became a poster with a risograph effect just to let them know: 'please keep building unreal pizzas!' 🍕🤤
Why risography? I recently learnt about this printing technique at a local exhibition and have come to appreciate the environmentally-friendly soy-based ink used.
You can identify a risograph print from its imperfections - different colored neon hues bleed into one another (sometimes intentionally created by the artist) to give a handmade charm.
I don't own a risograph printer, but I experimented on a piece in Photoshop. I'll admit...I had pizza for a couple nights straight.😇
