Officially a graduate 🎓🥂🎉 I cannot believe that I'm graduating with a first class honours degree. I had 3 amazing years on the course at Cardiff Met. I'm excited to continue on my journey into the graphic design world and I can't wait to keep sharing this with all of you. Thank you for the continued support for everyone.

Hello! I thought that I would re-introduce myself to you all - a lot has changed since I first started this page to share my graphic design work and I though it was time to share some of these updates! 💜

➕I have just graduated Cardiff Met with a 1st in Graphic Communication.
➕Recently been awarded membership into the International Society of Typographic Designers.
➕Been announced as one of the winners of the Creative Conscience Awards 2021.
➕Looking forward to the next phrase of the journey into design industry & I can't wait to keep sharing everything with you all.

Play & Paws 🐾 I've been waiting a while to share this branding with you! I loved working with these bright and bold colours for the branding and I'm excited to continue working with this brand. The platform allows Sarah to show her journey as a games based dog trainer and share tips and advice with you all.

As part of the CSAD degree show week I was chosen to have a piece of my work displayed in Cardiff City Centre. I’m beyond grateful for this opportunity and feel overwhelmed having seen my work up on display.

At the start my third year I worked on a brief set by stroke hub wales to raise awareness about Aphasia, a language and communication disorder that affects 1 in 3 stroke survivors. I created this small animation about the importance of slowing down and listing to someone who suffers from Aphsia as part of my concept campaign idea.

As part of my final major project I also produced a book explaining the layers of notation in the animation, as well as the meaning of individual symbols - in realtion to the movement they represent. The book would support the veiwer in understanding the animation if they didn't have any knowlegde of the sports symbols.

UNI ✅ 🎉 🥂Last Friday I submitted all my work for last year at university & Tuesday I completed my viva presentation. These are just a few quick videos of my time at uni. It feels so weird to be finishing but I’ve had the best three years I could have considering the strange circumstances at the end! Thank you everyone that has made this experience the best it could have been. I can't wait to keep sharing my work with you.

As my final major project looks at movement within the sport of Rhythmic Gymnastics. This is an animation of a rhythmic gymnastics hoop routine through the use of the symbols relating to body movement and apparatus movement. The animation visual has been developed from my research into dance notation and the layers of movement which is often found in notation.

My final major project, Rhythmic Notation, is the exploration of the sport, Rhythmic Gymnastics, through reimagined symbols of the sport designed with the characteristics of the sport in mind.

I was a rhythmic gymnast myself for 10 years and my passion for this sport has fueled this project. I wanted to celebrate this unique sport and beautiful movements through design and I was finally able to do it as part of my final project at uni. Taking exisiting symbols that represent movements and redesigning them to reflect the charactistics of the sport, I have been able to narrate a rhythmic gymnastics routine.

As this week is Mental Health Awareness Week and the topic is I wanted to share some photos of my recent ISTD (International Society of Typographic Designers) student awards submission. I looked at the Nordic philosophy of Friluftsliv which encourages people to get out into nature and reconnect. From research I found that we find being in nature helps us to get a new perspective and makes us feel calmer. Small things like going for a walk can simply improve our feelings and help connect back with nature.
