A gracious thank you to Spence Bovee, and Evie Silvers and Andi Elliott, of The Digital Entertainment Group (DEG) for the thoughtful invitation to last night’s 4th Annual EnTech Awards, presented by DEG and hosted at The World Famous KROQ + the HD Radio Sound Space!
The event was opened with a welcome from Amy Jo Smith, President & CEO, DEG, Bill Neighbors, Chief Content Officer, Xperi Inc., and our MC for the evening, veteran rap artist Ed “Special Ed” Archer.

May the 4th Be with You! 'Everything In The Massive New ‘Star Wars’ X ‘ Fortnite’ Crossover Event'
"To celebrate May The Fourth, Epic Games is bringing Star Wars to just about every aspect of Fortnite, from the main Battle Royale game to its LEGO survival game and more."

• Find new outfits including Dagobah Luke, Lando Calrissian and the AWR Trooper, all of which will translate to LEGO outfits as well.
• Rescue Chewbacca from random Imperial Roadblocks.
• Face some familiar enemies including Stormtroopers and Darth Vader himself.
• 10 Star Wars Quests will also be available during the event. Completing five gets you a Battle Pass level up.
• A bunch of new Star Wars content is coming to LEGO Fortnite.
The main feature is the ability to build a Rebel Village. The Rebel Village will become a permanent fixture in the game, sticking around after the main event is over.
Beyond the Battle Royale and LEGO offerings, Star Wars is headed to both Fortnite Festival, where you’ll be able to jam out on the Mos Eisley Cantina stage and unlock the Seven-string Hallisket Guitar, as well as Rocket Racing
These quests will release in two phases, the first this weekend and the second at 9am ET on May 7th. The Star Wars event will come to an end on Tuesday May 14th at 9am ET / 6am PT.

'Meow Wolf announces plans for Los Angeles exhibition'
"Meow Wolf, the immersive, strange and trippy experience that itself admits that it’s “hard to explain but easy to enjoy” is finally headed to Southern California."
“This is more than an immersive experience,” said Jose Tolosa, CEO of Meow Wolf. “We want it to be a part of the city’s ongoing narrative of growth. Being in Los Angeles, the entertainment capital of the world, we’re humbled to add to the dynamic interplay between art and entertainment here. Meow Wolf Los Angeles will blur the lines between reality and fantasy, inviting everyone to become part of a living, breathing spectacle.”
"Meow Wolf’s exhibitions can be considered part art museum, part escape room and part playhouse. The company has opened locations in Santa Fe, Las Vegas, the Dallas-Fort Worth metro and Denver. An additional exhibition in Houston is on the way."
"The company says more details, including a theme, will be announced in the coming months. No estimated opening date was provided."

Attended yesterday’s SpaceWERX and DTI hosted ‘I2A (Incubate 2 Accelerate) Expo Day’ and it was fantastic!

‘Expo Day’ brought together inaugural I2A cohort companies with government, industry, venture, and press to create a well-produced event of cohort presentations, company booths with demonstrations, a visit from the Mayor of El Segundo, great food, and great networking.

Thank you to dear friend, Luci Prosapio, Owner and Experience Architect of Sempre Events for the kind invitation to another one of your amazing events, along with Miji McConnell, Executive Director and Co-founder, and Drew "Murph" Busbee, Chief Operations Officer, and the rest of their DTI team for hosting the great program.

I was thrilled to meet and get to know Sian “Leo” Proctor, Ph.D., Geoscientist and Astronaut. Dr. Proctor was the mission pilot for SpaceX Inspiration4, the first all-civilian orbital mission. She is also the first female commercial astronaut spaceship pilot and the only African American woman to ever be a mission pilot and commercial astronaut.
