Starting 2022 off by launching a FREE online course on how to build a blog with WordPress!

This is the first of several free courses I plan on publishing throughout the coming months as part of a "getting started with WordPress" series, all of which take a "learn as you build" approach.

If you've been looking to build a blog with WordPress but have been on the edge because you're unsure where to start, then this course is for you!

This "Blog Speed Build" course is intended for beginners with little to no experience in WordPress. Come along with me as I walk you through a practical workflow that will get you up and running within a couple hours.

The goal by the end of the course is to have a fully built custom-designed blog, along with a working proficiency of some of the most common & basic WordPress configurations and settings.

As more folks are transitioning from traditional office work to working remotely, so is the need to be digitally seen on the web.

Establishing an online presence is crucial for staying relevant in this age.

If you have a personal brand to build, a story to tell, an opinion to voice, a product to sell, and you want to do that on your OWN platform, you need to have your own website. One that's built on WordPress.

Learn about WordPress if you're not in the game already. It currently powers 42.8% of all websites, and there's no sign of that slowing down.

I really believe that eventually "WordPress" is going to become a standard skill in the near future.

WordPress is an open source CMS that currently powers 42.8% of all websites. It's used to build websites, blogs, online stores, and much more.

From the data in a recent survey conducted by Global Workspace Analytics, they were able to forecast that over 25-30% of the U.S. workforce will be working from home on one or multiple days of the week by the end of 2021, and beyond. (Wowzers! Remote work is here to stay folks)

Remote work, also known as telecommuting, is the arrangement where an individual can work from anywhere and is not fixed to a given location.

When we take action, we learn what works and what doesn’t exponentially faster than if we were to simply ponder and meticulously analyze the opportunities we have in front of us.

We can’t let fear of failure be what’s holding us back from taking action on opportunities that will move us closer to our goals.

Not too long ago, my wife and I were discussing entrepreneurship over dinner. She was mentioning how difficult it was to come up with persuasive reasons why anyone would follow her ideas and her product.

I sat there for a while pondering how I could explain that in order to build a following, you would need to start with “why”. Because people don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it. If this concept sounds familiar, it’s because it is. (yes, Simon Sinek’s “Start With Why”… that why).

I then remembered a perfect example, and thought back to the times when we went out to go shoe shopping, my wife would always try to get me to buy a pair of Adidas, to which I always refused and went with Nike.

I then asked her to think about why I’m such a super loyal fan of Nike.

It’s not because of their shoes or any other product they sell. It’s because of their slogan “Just do it.” No other brand has an idea that makes me feel as connected to it than this one.

To me, it means self-empowerment and the ability to overcome. To other Nike followers, it might mean something else.

But the point is that the idea is universal, and it could mean something deeply personal if you connect with it. And for an idea to connect to me personally is the same reason why I follow this brand.

Sure both Nike and Adidas have cool kicks and dope apparel lines. But at the end of the day, I’m following Nike because I connect with their “Just do it” slogan. It’s what I believe in.

Personal beliefs cannot be swayed.
