October 1 marks World Sake Day, a time to celebrate Japan’s rich sake heritage, the craftsmanship of its brewers, and the traditions that bring people together over a shared love of sake.

Today, we raise a glass to the brewers, producers, and sake enthusiasts who continue to preserve this beautiful tradition while bringing sake to new audiences around the world.

September is one of our busiest months of the year, with sake producers from Japan traveling across the U.S. for trade shows, tastings, and industry events.

We always look forward to welcoming our brewery partners and connecting them with our restaurant, bar, and retail community. It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn directly from the producers and share what’s happening in the U.S. sake market.

This time, we were excited to welcome 月の桂　Masuda Tokubee Shoten Inc. showcasing their lineup in New York for the first time since joining the MTC SAKE | New York Mutual Trading distribution network. We look forward to sharing more of their exceptional sake with you all.

We love working with our clients to thoughtfully tailor sake selections for each occasion. Recently, we poured Tsukino Katsura Iwai Junmai from Fushimi, Kyoto, and it was a major hit.

Made with locally grown Iwai rice cultivated by select farmers using pesticide-free methods, this sake is deliberately left at a low polishing ratio of 88% to preserve the rice’s rich, full-bodied character and natural sweetness. It offers concentrated umami with a smooth, refreshing finish and an inviting aroma reminiscent of freshly steamed rice.

As New Yorkers, there’s nothing we love more than pizza. 🍕
The pizza at Pizza 4P's US was amazing, and we especially loved their sake selection. We paired our meal with Brooklyn Kura’s newest Yuzu Fizz, a bright and refreshing drink that was the perfect complement to all that delicious pizza. 🍶

A beautiful new addition to the Greenpoint food scene and definitely a spot pizza lovers should have on their list to check out!

Have you heard about the new Cospa Ramen? 🍜
At just $9.99 a bowl, Cospa Ramen is bringing seriously affordable ramen to New York City and apparently, it’s already a hit. During the opening days, they even ran out of broth early! 😳

We went with a glass of Hakkaisan Tokubetsu Honjozo alongside our ramen. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for an affordable ramen spot in Manhattan!
