Cold Hands, Warm Heart Craft Sale Events

So unfortunately we have cancelled our indoor Craft Sale this year which was booked for November 21. With restrictions on large gatherings, and with the likelihood that we would need to reduce our vendor list and follow rather strict guidelines, for the health and safety of all involved, this was the basis for us cancelling. Right now indoor gatherings are maxed at 50. We have 30+ crafters, (which sometimes doubles when spouses or partners attend with ) also with social distancing, we would likely have to space tables out significantly etc. So... I'm not prepared to take the chance of the health of any of our crafters, or potential customers, nor do we even know if large events will be permitted come fall. And there is that chance of the second wave of Covid.
I obviously am doing this with a very heavy heart. I looked forward to our annual show, but hopefully all works out and we will be back bigger and better in 2021

Here are our totals from our 2019 online auction and Christmas Craft Sale....
After expenses we were able to donate 712 pairs of mitts and 414 hats/headbands/neckwarmers!!

Our largest donation to date.
Our running totally (rounded off) for the past 5 years are as follows-
3010 pairs of mitts
1365 hats

This year we personally had a rough go with Peter being in hospital for 36 days, and eventually having to have a lower leg amputation, so I needed to rely heavily on my friends to help.
So a huge, heartfelt thank you to Kelly Walker for co organizing, Margaret Campbell Rahn for joining us this year, Nicole Ruddy for helping once again, and the others who helped with setting up, signs etc etc.
Without all of you, the show would not be possible. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

I need to first say, you were all absolutely amazing ! To Kelly Walker for doing all our flyers, thank yous, etc etc, for helping figure crap out when my OCD would kick in, to Margaret Campbell Rahn, for baking all of the delicious treats for our crafters and selling tickets today. To both of you for help setting up and taking down the hall. To Nicole Ruddy for helping transport everything, helping in the kitchen etc etc. To Margaret's daughter Holly and my granddaughter Abby for helping out so much today as well. To Judy Wade Briscoe for coming out at 7ish am and helping us set up. To Nicole's bf Mark for hauling the trailer out for us. To Margaret and Mary-Lynn Simard for going out this morning putting out our huge signs. To Dave aka Debbie Estabrooks hubby for helping bring in signs afterwards, to Kevin Laura Symes for staying afterwards and helping to get hall put back together, to all the crafters who donated to our show as well as our auction, and to Kateri Crozier for baking the cupcakes. Also to Joe Ward from Joe's Family Pizza for delivering our order. Pizza was a success. To anyone I may have missed, I truly thank you all. It takes several to make a successful show and without all of your talent we would be nowhere. We received so many Mitt/hat donations this year! To our newest crafters, thank you for attending. I hope you consider returning next year. To our returning crafters, thank you for being a part of our show year after year. I am truly blessed and grateful to have you all be apart of our event. Stay tuned for next years date! I will be checking the calendar this week and booking the hall.

Starting to prepare for this year online auction.
If anyone would like to donate anything please comment below.
Gift certificates, new, unused items, crafts, you name it, we basically auction anything :)
Auction will take place early November but need to get a head start especially with the hubby out of commission. I will have a drop off bin on my porch in a few days. If donating, please include your name/business name and retail value.
Our past auctions helped tremendously and to date we are over 2000++ pairs of mitts and several hundred hats !!
