This recent Little Caesars work is packed with everything we love about lifestyle-driven food photography — movement, color, energy, interaction and, most importantly, food that still owns the frame.

Josh has such a strong ability to keep the imagery feeling spontaneous while maintaining the control great food photography demands.

CREATIVE EXPLORATION IS PART OF THE JOB

Some of the most valuable work happens without a client brief.

No shot list. No layout. Just an idea, a subject and room to explore.

For this seafood study, Josh Blaylock and food stylist Stephanie Greenwood worked with oysters, sardines and crawfish, using texture, light, color and a loose tabletop style to let each image develop a little differently.

Sometimes personal work becomes a portfolio piece. Sometimes it sparks an idea that shows up later in commercial work.
