DID YOU KNOW?
The Battleship was *supposed* to arrive in Wilmington 65 years ago TODAY, October 1, 1961? But Mother Nature had other plans. The Battleship reached the mouth of the Cape Fear River on October 1, but bad weather delayed the final leg of her journey until the next day.

Which is why, tomorrow, October 2, at 12 pm, we will celebrate the Showboat's 65th year in Wilmington! Join us for a berth-day song sing-along (we all know the tune!) and, of course, cake. Let's celebrate North Carolina's ship together! We hope to see you onboard!
