I’m a hunter, not a trapper, but ballot initiative I-177 affects me nonetheless.

Missoula continues to be the hot bed of animal rights activism with Footloose Montana, Wolves of the Rockies, Trap Free Montana Public Lands, PETA and NOW the Animal Liberation Front. "ALF"

This comes shortly after PETA posted an "action alert" for followers to "urge the University of Montana to stop slaughtering pigs." The advocates responsible for the vandalism "Advocate no animals should be used for meat."

Hunting, trapping, fishing, ranching.... ALL animal consumption is on their agenda. VOTE NO on I-177

MTFWP biologists estimate 1 wolf will consume 28 elk on average in a calendar year. In the past 4 years trappers have harvested nearly 350 wolves saving 9,800 elk. If a trapping ban is imposed this November as the animal rights activists are pushing for, hunting licenses will be cut and stricter regulations will be imposed on hunters to make up for the increased population of wolves and the overall decrease in elk numbers.

Keep hunting part of Montana’s tradition Vote NO on I-177 this November.
