As President Donald Trump prepares to welcome China’s President Xi Jinping Wednesday night, family members and supporters of over a dozen Christians behind bars are praying and pleading for Trump to raise their cases with the head of the Communist regime.

Gao Pu, a Chinese Christian currently applying for asylum, told the Daily Caller that “the way they are treated is just, you know, inhumane and just brutal and they’re actually, like, animalistic."

The men, he said, are often packed 20 to a cell, forced into the impossible, endless task of cleaning dirt while being fed protein only once a week. Instead of showers, inmates would get hosed down twice a month, and fellow prisoners would be forced into beating anyone caught trying to clean themselves or brush their teeth.

More and more Republicans are souring on President Trump’s handling of the Iran War as the conflict drags on despite early administration promises that it would only last a couple of weeks, according to a new poll published Tuesday.

Democrats and independents have viewed the war negatively since it was launched in Feb., while soaring energy costs and high inflation have continued to squeeze Americans. Although 73 percent of Republicans approved of the way Trump was handling the war in March, that number has since dropped 13 points, according to a new CNN poll.

ESPN is dropping a six-episode documentary series Oct. 8 called “Saban,” where we will have the opportunity to learn more about the life, upbringing and philosophy of legendary college football coach Nick Saban.

The doc goes deep into the 17-season run that Saban had at the University of Alabama, and not just that, but it also covers his days at Louisiana State University and the Miami Dolphins in the NFL.

Vice President JD Vance faced pointed questions over two issues frustrating some Trump supporters: the ongoing Iran war and inflation.

During a live interview at the All-In Summit, podcast co-host Jason Calacanis confronted Vance over Trump’s campaign promises to avoid new foreign wars and bring inflation under control, telling him that Americans — particularly Trump voters — are “very upset.”

Vance defended the administration’s approach to Iran, arguing that preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and protecting global energy markets justified the use of military force. On inflation, Vance acknowledged that it remains higher than he would like, while arguing that the administration has made progress and still has more work to do.
