El Vocero de Puerto Rico - (August 12, 2020) Confiado en la recuperación de la industria fílmica en Hollywood, el director y productor puertorriqueño Ben De Jesús continúa el desarrollo de proyectos que resalten a los latinos, junto a su socio, el actor John Leguizamo.

“La industria nunca va a desaparecer, pero va a cambiar mucho la manera de hacer las producciones. Los equipos de trabajo van a ser más pequeños, pero es necesario”, señaló.

Sin embargo, esa reducción podría ser una coyuntura para su compañía NGL Studios, que fundó junto a Leguizamo.

“Lo veo como oportunidad porque como compañía de producción sabemos trabajar con alta calidad, pero con presupuestos reducidos. Sé que los presupuestos bajarán porque las marcas no quieren gastar lo mismo, si se puede hacer con menos. Somos flexibles y nos adaptados sin perder calidad”, recalcó.

Si bien ante el Covid-19 continúa realizando investigación para sus documentales, las filmaciones se paralizaron.

“También trabajo como director de comedia en Hollywood y esto me ha afectado muchísimo. Además, dirijo episodios de Bunk’d, de Disney Channel, y todo está aguantado. Pero me siento bendecido porque tengo salud y mi familia también. Cuando haya un cambio, estaremos listos”, aseguró quien hace dos meses filmó un comercial “muy cómico” con Carlos Ponce, para el Censo de Estados Unidos. Full Story: www.elvocero.com
