Learn how to leverage business complaints!

The Bartlesville Marketing and Communications Association will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, in the Gathering Room at Tri County Tech in Bartlesville.

Scott Townsend, events manager at ABB, will discuss using online customer reviews to increase customer satisfaction. With the universal adoption of smartphones and social media, these tools have fundamentally altered how people voice their grievances, announcing their displeasure faster and more publicly than ever. These trends have resulted in an overall increase in complaints and a belief by many businesses that they have to "pick their spots" when choosing to answer criticisms. We will discuss how businesses can leverage complaints, and help turn dissatisfied customers into raving fans.

Townsend graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor of science in journalism where he named the OSU Spirit Rider’s horse, Bullet.

Lunch is $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers. RSVP by April 10 to [email protected] or call 918-331-1405.
