Members of the Euskal Gozogileak (Basque Confectioners) Association work on a life-size chocolate version of Pablo Picasso’s iconic masterpiece “Guernica” in the Spanish Basque town of Lezo. was painted by Picasso around 1937. The title “Guernica” refers to the city that was bombed on April 26, 1937 by N**i German planes during the Spanish Civil War. The painting depicts the horrors of war and has been interpreted by many as an anti-war symbol. A graphic reminder of the tragedies of war.
