The Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Will County is coming up Saturday, October 3, bringing our community together to raise awareness and support families affected by Alzheimer’s. 💜

September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, Shorewood Neighbors - a time to shine a light on the courageous children and families facing childhood cancer, as well as the many people who come together to support them.

This month's cover story is especially meaningful as we share the story of the Veght family, whose journey is one of love, strength, resilience and hope. Bart serves ad Senior Vice President of Retail & Manufacturing at Blick Art Materials, while Joanna devotes her time to Team Nicholas -Nothing is Impossible , the charitable organization that grew from the family's personal experience of losing their beloved Nicholas, "Forever 8." Their beautiful family also includes daughter Madalyn and their lovable beagle Winnie. I hope you'll take a few minutes to read their heartfelt story and join me in honoring Nicholas and supporting families affected by pediatric cancer.
