New research suggests that publishers may not derive the same benefits from using social media to expand their coverage as before.

Important notice!! 🚨 Starting later this month, if you BOOST a post via the Facebook or Instagram app on iOS you will be charged an *additional* 30% service fee. You will be billed through Apple and it's Apple that makes the additional 30% charge on the total ad payment (before any applicable charges). 😳

📢 BUT, to avoid Apple's 30% service charge and still be able to boost posts from your mobile device, Meta is pointing out that you can simply go to facebook.com or instagram.com on your iOS device.

This new payment process, and subsequent Apple service charge, is starting in the US later this month.

Additional markets and countries will be subject to the 30% fee later this year.

Boosting posts from the Facebook or Instagram mobile websites without the Apple service charge is already available to advertisers globally.
