Humoring Noon Designs was foremostly a brand, a design label and graphic company, situated at Durham Skateboards. Durham Skateboards was a venue as well as a resource and was managed by Edward Framm before its closure in 1998. Since it's closure Ed Framm and his partner Yusuf Fragóhn have re-organised and re-introduced the company, in which the year 2017 will have the company open up new designs f
or boards and apparel as well as a re-manufacturing of what made the brand so successful before the closure of DS in 1998.. Durham Skateboards was the #1 underground independent source of both community crowdgathering and independent designs for skates and BMX's, until the closure of the business in 1998. We’re crowdsourced, which means we’re driven by our members who send us updates, news and advice from across the UK. Whether you want to send us information about your local skatepark, write a news article or simply spread the word, there’s always something to do and The Skateparks Project is open to everyone so get involved. The Skateparks Project was initially started by Edward Framm in 2005 as a list of skateparks in and around Durham and Pelham (roughly between Leicester, Grantham and Peterborough). Back then it was simple called ‘Durham Skateparks Directory’ and was managed by local skaters including Marcel. The original website was really successful for several years, but following local park closures, lack of time and people moving away, the site became dated and eventually closed down. In 2014, having moved to London, Ed and Marcel have maintained skate designs and business meetings between communities, only aiming their prospects on a much bigger scale. The next year was spent developing the idea with local skaters and industry contacts, collecting park information and news. The new website went live in April 2017 and The Humoring Noon Designs has officially been relaunched as a separate entity to Durham.
