Hey y’all! I’ve been getting a lot of requests for T-shirts. I haven’t done them yet since they’re pretty costly for a small business, but I’m considering it.

If I move forward, the first design will be my logo. I was leaning toward dark green (my brand color), but I know that’s not everyone’s preference, so I put together four color options.

Vote for your favorite and I’ll order whichever gets the most votes in the next few months.

Dimetrodon is a type of “non-mammalian synapsid”. Today, synapsids include all mammals, as well as all animals closely related to mammals, including Dimetrodon. The term synapsid refers to an opening behind each eye. Dinosaurs are diapsids, referring to 2 openings behind each eye. Mammals such as humans, however, have an evolutionarily modified fenestral opening- we don’t have an opening anymore, just a concave portion of bone on the sides of our skull. That shows us where the opening was in our distant ancestors. Ultimately, Dimetrodon is more closely related to mammals, and us, than any other group- but it’s NOT a dinosaur!

New year, new branding. 2026 marks three years of hollymander.com! My past logos never really felt like me, so I finally redesigned everything to better reflect my art and style. I’m loving the safari-inspired color palette, and I hope you do too. I took a bit of a hiatus this past year while I was busy working on a museum expansion, but I’m back, so get ready for lots of new products in 2026.
