With this year wrapping up tomorrow, I wanted to share something I earned this year.

With this starting this business, I did A LOT of praying. It was a lot of asking God "is this Your will or mine?" Here's what I learned...

Sometimes when you want confirmation from God that you're on His path, He'll answer by confirming it through the things around you. That could be a person telling you "Hey You're doing the right thing" or "God wanted me to tell you...". He could also confirm through songs or your environment. Regardless of how, it seems like people are more used to Him confirming things to us by using things or people around us. While that's so powerful, I learned that's not always the case.

Sometimes His confirmation that we're doing things within His will is simply Him giving us the strength to do it. With me for example, I had to design over 30 designs in a month in order to meet my personal goal of when I would launch this business. On top of that, I had to handle the legal side of it all and do some more behind the scenes work involving set up. It all seemed completely impossible within the time frame I had set. But guess what? I did it. It was through God's strength, definitely not my own. That's how I know this is within God's will for me. Because He gave me the strength to complete these tasks. He wouldn't give me the strength to do something that isn't within His will.

Valid question...

The first reason is, I made all of the designs myself. So, imagine this: you fall in love with a design on this website and then think "Well it was made on Canva, so I'll just find it on there and use it for free." Except you won't. Since I made these designs myself, you won't find them by searching around in Canva's template library. The second reason is that I've done a lot of research to figure out what people need. I've talked to teachers to find out what resources would best equip them to teach, I've talked to moms to figure out what decor items they look for when decorating for their child's birthday, and asked others what kind of art do they want to see in their house.

Think about this...

You're newly engaged and you have to send out thank you cards to 100+ people. This can cost at the least $20+ for only 100 cards. Wanna know a cheaper option?

Buy a digital card to print on cardstock. You can get the digital file for as low as $2 and the cardstock for as low as $15 for a total of 250 thank you cards for only $17.

Time for some fun design facts!

Serif Font - a slight projection finishing off a stroke of a letter in certain typefaces. (decorative elements on the letters as shown in the picture)

Sans Serif Font - a style of type without serifs. (Plain letters as shown in the picture)

Now for the fun fact! So typically, sans serif fonts are a lot easier to read since they don't have the decorative elements that serif fonts do. Because of that, road signs are done in a sans serif font since drivers need to read to the signs quickly as they drive by. Kids books are also written in a sans serif font since young kids are new to reading. The decorative elements of a serif font could confuse them. The more you know!

Wanted to share my personal favorite teacher product! This is the hole punch incentive card. It's just like those little cards you get from restaurants where you get so many punches to receive a free or discounted item.

With these, students do something good and get a hole punch. After 7, students will receive a prize for filling their punch card!

I was on the phone with my aunt a while back talking about all the things I wished for in my future. I was being a bit impatient about it too, I must admit lol. She brought up Ephesians 3:20-21 which changed my outlook on everything, including this business.

When I think about this business, I remind myself of something important each day. As long as it's within God's will and I am doing things according to His power, everything will turn out to be immeasurably more than all I could think or imagine.
