ASSISTED CONVERSIONS ARE A GAME CHANGER !
Madgic recently released the option to use Madgic Metrics data in automations. This adds massive potential and today I will talk about how assisted conversions just changed the automations game big time.
What is assisted conversions & why should I care? 🧐
As we all know, for TOF campaigns we wont always see the best results when in comes to ROAS or CPA but its essential that we spend the majority of our budget there to insure that we don't have an "upside down funnel" that will very quickly reach high frequency's that will most likely result in performance dropping over time.
Problem is Facebook only works on a last click attribution model these days meaning that your warm & hot audiences will most likely get the credit for the conversion but as we all know. They innately came from a cold audience, but which one?
This is where assisted conversions come in to play. This feature allows us to track what ad sets/campaigns/ads "assisted" in the client journey to purchasing but didn't get the "last touch" . Meaning no longer do we need to guess which TOF ad sets are important to my customer flow.
How does this affect automations?🤖
Until now when I was building automations for TOF I would usually focus on getting a ROAS above my breakeven at least, maybe add some thing about add to carts and even some stuff regarding outbound CTR. I am not saying that all of these are not important but assisted conversions gives us a whole new dimension of optimization.
We can now build ad sets to act on TOF ad sets according to there results & there assisted results.

Adding below some screen shot of some simple automations we can do with this that can be very affective.
Adding below a screen shot for a TOF campaign which I thought generated me 0 results when in fact assisted me with 46 (!) conversions.
Note: Assisted conversions will only work if you have your GA set up correctly & a solid UTM structure.
