In 2015, when I was doing graphic design for the Southwest Montana Arts Council in Dillon, we got word that "The Last Revel" was heading south after playing the Sweet Pea Festival, and they were open to putting on a small show for the community.
There was almost no time to make it happen. No poster No big promotional campaign. Just enough time to put together a social media post, block off the street, and plug in the amps.
And then suddenly, there they were—playing in front of an old garage, with the street becoming an impromptu concert venue.
I grabbed my camera!
Looking back at these photos nearly a decade later, I love how they capture the energy of that night. There was something wonderfully unpolished about it. No elaborate production, just music, people, and an unexpected opportunity.
