Those newborn moments are so precious. The first touches, sights and smells. You get to hold your babies hands for the first time. Dad gets to see their new child.

It’s all so new. Soak it all in.

The world seemed so still and peaceful after the birth. A nurse came in an hour later and everyone felt it had only been a few minutes.

Maybe we should live everyday like this.

The beauty of a newborn looking at its mother. It’s a beautiful thing.

This infant that’s been growing and developing for 9 months, has learned the scent and sound of his mothers voice. When she hums or sings or laughs.

But he’s never been able to feel her arms wrapped around him. He’s never been able to gaze upon her. Now he does.

And in the chaos of birth there is a calm and beauty.

This mama is amazing! I'm so honored to have witnessed her child's birth and the expanding of her family. This babe is so surrounded by love.

The beauty of motherhood is deep and enduring. She is bringing forth a new life. Something only she can do. Her body goes through miraculous changes, provides sustenance before and after birth. It is a gift to carry life and to give it.

The medical professionals are wonders as well. You can see the true care in all that they do.

This might be my new favorite photography. Capturing these moments really just gave my photography a sense of purpose and direction. So, grateful for this opportunity and experience. I hope for many more to come!
