Home and Lifestyle Show in Whangārei today! 🏡

It’s open today (Saturday) from 10am - 5pm and tomorrow (Sunday) from 10am - 4pm. Entry is only $6, so go check it out! 🙌🏼

I popped in to see my clients at Innovation Homes - Northland , Integrated Electrical & Solar , and Hargood Renovations and Extensions Their stands look amazing!

I bumped into so many other awesome business owners and ended up yapping too much, that I barely got any footage! 😅

There’s heaps more to see than this little video shows - food and drinks, ideas for your home, fun activities and plenty of giveaways.

Feedback like this is always so appreciated ☺️

Helping businesses feel less overwhelmed is exactly why I do what I do - but watching them grow in confidence and become so natural in front of the camera has been pretty special too.

Thank you, Innovation Homes, for trusting me with your business and allowing me to be part of the journey. I absolutely love working with you both 💛

AI isn’t the problem - losing the personality behind your business and looking like everyone else is. 🫣

Your audience wants to see the real people, work and stories that make your business different. Use AI to save time and support your ideas, but don’t let it become the face of your brand.

People connect with people. Let them see you. 💛

When someone asks what I’ve been up to lately and my mind immediately goes blank… 😂

Turns out, I get up to quite a lot.

A little look at my week, doing what I love 💛

The content connecting right now? The content that actually feels human. 💛

People want to see the faces behind the business, the behind-the-scenes moments, the knowledge you have to share and the personality that makes your business yours.

That doesn’t mean your content shouldn’t be intentional or well thought out. It just means it doesn’t need to feel overly polished to make an impact.

Show up. Be genuine. Share what you know. Let people get to know you.

Because trust is built long before someone is ready to buy. 🌺

Social media is humbling. One minute you think you’ve absolutely nailed a post… the next Instagram has other plans 😂

The longer I work in social media, the more I realise good content isn’t about trying to make every single post a winner.

There’s strategy behind what you post, absolutely - but there’s also testing, learning, adapting and figuring out what your audience responds to.

And sometimes the post you nearly didn’t share ends up being the one people love.

Moral of the story: don’t overthink it. Post the damn thing 💛

If every post is asking people to buy from you, eventually they’ll tune out.

Social media isn’t just a place to sell - it’s a place to build relationships.

Show people who you are.
Share what you do.
Explain why you do it.
Give them a reason to trust your business.

When people know, like and trust you, selling becomes so much easier because you’ve already built the connection.

Not every post needs a sales pitch. Sometimes the most valuable thing you can do is simply show up and let people get to know the people behind the business. 🌺

Always appreciate receiving feedback like this. 🥰

If you know me, you’ll know how much I love fishing, so working with Salty Dog Bait has been a great fit.

Thanks for the kind words and for trusting me with your social media. It’s been awesome seeing your pages become more active and engaged, and I’m looking forward to seeing where we can take them next. 💛

So many businesses delay posting because they’re waiting for their content to be “perfect.”

The truth is, your content should absolutely be intentional - but it doesn’t need to be flawless before you share it.

Every post teaches you something.
Every reel helps you improve.
Every time you show up, you’re giving people another opportunity to connect with your business.

The businesses seeing results aren’t waiting until every piece of content is perfect. They’re showing up consistently, learning what resonates with their audience, and improving over time.

Don’t let the pursuit of perfection stop you from getting started. 💛

July has been one of those months that reminded me exactly why I love what I do. 🥰

Every day looked different. From flower shops and cafés to builders, electricians, HVAC specialists, wellness professionals, fishing brands and interior designers, every business had its own story to tell.

It never gets lost on me what a privilege it is to help so many businesses across Northland, along with a couple further south, share their amazing offerings and connect with their communities. Being trusted with your brand is something I genuinely don’t take for granted. 🙌🏽

Thank you to every client who continues to put trust in me. Your passion for what you do makes creating content that much more rewarding.

Here’s to another month of supporting local businesses. Bring on August. 💛
