The GISD Goes Gold Foundation was created from a personal journey of resilience and gratitude. Founded by Katie Jansson and fellow cancer parents, the organization provides support for Georgetown ISD families navigating pediatric cancer. 🌟

From raising awareness during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month to providing direct assistance to local families, GISD Goes Gold continues to show the power of neighbors helping neighbors. ✨

More than a game, golf is a chance to build friendships and create community. ⛳

The Berry Creek Ladies Golf Association is a welcoming group of women who enjoy improving their skills, celebrating successes, and sharing plenty of laughter along the way. Members gather for weekly play days every Wednesday and Saturday at 9:00 a.m., along with monthly tournaments throughout the year. 🌸

Ingredients: 🛒
🧄 1 box of frozen garlic Texas Toast (8 slices)
🍚 1 packet of au jus gravy mix
🫗 3 cups cold water
🍖 1 pound sliced deli roast beef
🧀 8 slices provolone cheese

Directions: 📝
• Bake Texas Toast according to package directions until golden.
• Prepare au jus gravy mix with cold water.
• Warm roast beef in the prepared au jus.

A community’s kindness can create a lasting impact. 💛

After Katie Jansson’s daughter, Adeline, was diagnosed with leukemia, the Georgetown community surrounded their family with support, compassion, and encouragement. That experience inspired the creation of the GISD Goes Gold Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to helping local families facing pediatric cancer. 🌟

Through emotional and financial support, the foundation helps families during some of their most difficult moments, including diagnosis, relapse, graduation, and bereavement. Every effort is focused on making sure no family faces childhood cancer alone. 💛
