As a creative depiction of violence that reminds us to be careful on the roads, we at Milkcrate are posting this anti-drink-driving campaign image from a while ago as an encouragement to please be careful over this Australia Day weekend. As you go to different parties, BBQ's, festivals or whatever - remember you're not the only ones trying to make it home.

Catching public transport (we're from Melbourne - now do you understand?) is more often than not, the bane of our human existence. But perhaps it would be a little more enticing if they were decked out in ad campaigns like this!
A while back, National Geographic covered the exterior of several buses with a scary but none the less cool art transfer promoting their TV channel. I'd perhaps be more forgiving if I new I was delayed because I was inside a shark.

Some things are so clever you go mad over the ingenuity and only grunt because no words can describe the cleverness behind them. If you were to sit on these altered benches however, the cleverness literally is behind you - all over your behind really. Pressure-stamped onto your bare skinned legs advertising something that those legs could be wearing. So clever.

A million dollar idea is great but not if you only get $14 an hour. This campaign for the Sony Cyber Shot camera however, cost next to nothing and still got people's attention showing how slim it is for all the content it has inside.

Placement is such a key role in marketing campaigns that so many forget about. International pasta brand Mondo Pasta certainly planned it however, placing face shaped billboards on locally docked ships, with the weighted docking rope cleverly implied as a piece of delicious spaghetti.
Tasty and smart.

2013 is the first year since 1987 to consecutively have four different numbers. Is this going to be the year of difference for you?

Not quite to the style of Abbey Road, this Zebra Crossing took things literally as a guerrilla advertising campaign for South Africa Tourism. Jutting out from different international airports, the Zebra Crossing served a purpose as well as encouraging pedestrians to look down and read where they can find out more.

With New Year's Eve tomorrow night, what would be your ultimate firework display? We see the olympic rings, the Aussie crest, and the national colours, but we think 'Milkcrate' would fit quite nicely along the harbour bridge.
How about you?

Melted candles from Christmas Eve, gift wrapping and food mess from Christmas Day, and the bottle tops and crushed cans piling for our New Year's celebrations - our street corners are getting a little messy.
Mini Cooper did this guerrilla campaign with a stylised gift box in the actual size of their latest car, to show everyone that it really is small enough to put under the Christmas tree. If only Santa, if only.

Christmas brings extra weight to carry, and not just from eating too much. Shopping, boxes, gifts, trees, hams, its a sudden baring on our joints and all in the space of a few weeks.
International pain relief brand Motrin (similar to our Nurofen) displayed this guerrilla style installation at various shopping points in major cities with a mannequin's back bent to 90degrees under the stack of Christmas gifts, advertising Motrin's strength at hitting pain where it strikes. Clever and Christmassy, we like.

With only two weeks until Christmas, it's clear that Santa is right ontop of his marketing ploys because there is tinsel everywhere. Fake snow, reindeer on the roof, lights along the fenceline, Christmas trees both real and plastic, we're a sucker for the silly season and this year seems crazier than the last.
Post a photo of the best Christmas advertising or decoration you've seen so far, we'd love to see if there really is a limit.
