DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH CONFIRMS THE FIRST CASE OF NOVEL CORONAVIRUS IN THE PHILIPPINES.
What we know so far:
The patient is a 38-year-old Chinese woman who travelled from Wuhan, China via Hong Kong and arrived in the Philippines last January 21.
She was in Cebu and Dumaguete before checking in the hospital for cough last January 25.
There are 27 other patients that the DOH is monitoring in the Philippines including Metro Manila, Cebu, and Davao.
The DOH is proposing our government to temporarily restrict travelers from infected regions of China - this is not approved yet.
