Creating a website for our friend Sye was an absolute joy—and truly one of those projects that reminds you why good design matters.

Uppa Crik Taproom in Parks, Nebraska is one of those rare places: tucked away, unassuming at first glance, and then completely unforgettable once you arrive. It’s peaceful, grounded, and full of character—a hidden gem that feels both intentional and effortless.

When we approached this project, we didn’t want to simply build a website. We wanted to create an experience. Something that honored the stillness of the landscape, the expansive views, and the thoughtful craftsmanship behind what Uppa Crik offers.

Every design choice was made to reflect the calm, the quality, and the authenticity that you feel the moment you step onto the property.

Matt, an incredibly talented graphic designer, thrives on passion projects—especially when they’re rooted in meaningful people and places. This one checked every box. From visual flow to typography to overall mood, the goal was to let the space speak for itself while elevating the story behind it.

Sye is the kind of person who builds something special simply by being who he is, and Uppa Crik Taproom is a direct reflection of that. We’re grateful to have been trusted with translating that vision into a digital space that feels just as welcoming, intentional, and well-crafted as the taproom itself.

The new KIND logo dropped—and it’s a great reminder for all of us.

Logos don’t have to be complicated. In fact, the best ones rarely are.
Clean. Functional. Timeless. That’s the summit every brand should aim for.

The updated KIND design strips away unnecessary detail but keeps the essential equity. It’s easier to use, scales better, and aligns with modern digital platforms without losing the brand’s DNA.

👉 Simplicity beats clever complication. Always.

It’s not about showing off design tricks—it’s about serving the brand’s long game.

And here’s a critical truth:
Your color palette can carry just as much brand power as the mark itself.
Think T-Mobile’s magenta.
UPS brown.
Tiffany blue.

Even without a logo, those colors are the brand in your mind.

KIND’s signature color blocks are doing that same heavy lifting. The logo’s simplicity lets the palette—and the purpose—shine.
