SECURITY UPDATE: Please see the following statement from our service provider regarding the 'Heartbleed / OpenSSL' security flaw:
"There has been widespread media circulation over the course of this week regarding a flaw in the OpenSSL software used to provide SSL security to various web services, with the flaw commonly being referred to as Heartbleed.
While our systems do all make use of the OpenSSL software to provide https security to customer websites with SSL Certificates, our own billing/support portal and secured access to account control panels, webmail, SMTP/POP3/IMAP etc, the version in use across all of these is a version of the software which is not and never has been vulnerable to the flaw.
While a number of our backend infrastructure systems have made use of vulnerable versions of OpenSSL these were all patched promptly on Monday and none are publicly accessible, so has been no risk of any exploitation of these.
As such there is no action needed with regard to any services provided by us, please do be aware however that if any users do use shared passwords among our and other services (ie the same password for your account with us and a free email account provided elsewhere, for example) and the third party service is or has been vulnerable to the flaw, we would recommend changing all passwords involved at both the third party service and ourselves in case your password has been compromised via the third party."
