Social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest and other such channels have a deep impact on where your company name shows up on search engine result pages. Users often turn to social networking sites to look up for more information about the company.

Is your social media channels helping, or hurting your business? How are you executing your social media strategy? What are your goals? What differentiates your business from others?

Too many online marketers throw up a landing page, give away a lead magnet... then start pushing to sell, sell sell.

But this is a mistake. A high producing funnel is a complex piece of marketing machinery.

If you really want to succeed in online direct response you need to build each step carefully, deliberately and by the numbers.
Only after you've perfected the first step should you move on to the second... and so forth.

I've seen too many great products get destroyed by marketers too eager to make a fast buck.

I speak from experience. It's better to take your time, make slow careful investments, tweak your funnel as you go and only begin to sell once you've lain a solid foundation.

This will set the stage for breakout hit.

Everyone's searching for the magic bullet for making money online... but the secret is, THERE IS NO SECRET.

If you want to make a fortune in online marketing. It all comes down to this. Unbalance the value equation in the customer's favor in everything you do.

You always want the customer to feel like THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF YOU in every exchange.

Here's the rule of thumb I go by:

Make Your FREE products so good customers would have paid for them.
Make Your Low Priced Products as good as many MUCH MUCH higher priced products.

And Make your Back End (High Priced Products) so great that they change peoples lives.

This is the foundation to succeeding online (and keeping the FTC off your back.) Everyone's so focused on the magic marketing secret, but I've always found that spending that energy making the product outstanding is the first step in a grand slam success.

It cracks me up when I hear a marketer say "Oh, I tried that. It didn't work!" What they're really saying is: "I tried that idea ONCE, lost a few bucks on it, and I couldn't figure out how to make it work... so I gave up and moved on to something else." Winners understand to succeed online you have to continually work your strategy and stay with it when things get hard.

P90X is a perfect example of this.

The first infomercials had a $290 CAC (it's a $120 product.) They kept at it. The CAC fell to $225; then $190; then $170; and on the 22nd version it fell below $50 and they had the biggest breakout success in recent history.

Ask yourself, would you have had the tenacity to stick with it for that long?

If not it's time to re-evaluate.

A lot of people seem to confuse branding with logos or design.

There's a saying that expresses what a brand is perfectly: "EVERYTHING COMMUNICATES"

A brand is an experience... or rather a bunch of cumulative experiences all piled on top of each other, over and over again... at every customer interaction -- even the smallest "inconsequential" one.
Every touch point is an opportunity to delight your customer and remind them of who you are, what you stand for, and how you're there for them.

That's Branding.

It's carefully engineered and continually thought about. It's the most important thing any company can do to grow their business.

A lot of content marketers continue to recycle engaging content again and again. It makes sense, right? When you know something works keep doing it. That's not a terrible strategy... it definitely works.
But make sure you always include something new -- otherwise you're missing a huge opportunity to tell a bigger, deeper more engaging story.

In a side-by-side split test, content that was reposted with NEW information had nearly 393% higher engagement than content posted verbatim.

So it pays to always keep it fresh.
