Some people may have seen me occasionally post about the batch running club, which is a wonderfully supportive, wholesome, and funny group of people with whom I run nearly every week. Although the group's premise is to run a casual 5k and then drink a free beer, it has become much more than that and is genuinely an important part of people's lives.

On September 1st, there's a whole load of people from the club running the Altrincham 10k, and we aim to raise £1,000 for the Trafford Carers Centre. The centre offers carers respite, therapy, counselling, advocacy, health checks, and advice and information to help them overcome the physical and emotional pressures of the unpaid caring role.

If you can afford anything to help us reach our target, that would be brilliant. Total transparency - we are going to run anyway, but the run will go faster, and crossing the finish line will feel even better if we can raise some money for this fantastic service as we do so. So, thank you in advance!
