OUR PURPOSE:
This group is designed to bring feature Narrative and Documentary filmmakers and screenwriters together towards a single purpose- to discuss their current work. Those who have concepts and want to complete their work from concept to completion, this is the group for you. The main purpose of this group is to gather a group of people and assist each other with making concept a reality.
This is more than just a goal to network, but a goal to help one another take the proper action steps to completing feature length projects. Aspiring filmmakers and actors are welcome to join. Those interested in not only crewing, but if you have business skills such as: Marketing, PR, Grant Writing, and Producing- these essential skill sets are important to this group and we welcome you. So, bring your skills to this group and lets help each other to work on completing our projects. Each meeting we will try to set goals to not only discussing our projects, but setting a time line and gathering up resources to work towards making your idea, script, or assisting on your current project- so that it is complete. There are no dues to join this group, just bring your creativity and willingness to work together in a collaborative effort. REQUIREMENTS:
# Goal setting and attempts towards individual goals discussed in the meeting, should be taken seriously. Meeting your individual creative goals and taking action steps towards making your dreams happen is a benefit to you. Feature film making and completing any long-form work takes serious dedication and focus.
# Feedback and group participation during meetings is a must. Every member must equally share what they are working on, their creative goals, and also be willing to participate by listening to other members and offering feedback.
# Signing a non-disclosure agreement, as all members must not share other members ideas, scripts, and film work with anyone unless given permission to do so.
# Screenwriters or Directors with feature scripts who want to share their work to the group, must have their scripts registered with the Writer's Guild of America which protects screenplays and also copy written for the protection of all creative works. NOTE: ALL MEMBERS MUST RESPECT OTHER MEMBER'S IDEAS, CONCEPTS, PROJECTS IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER. A PART OF THIS RESPECT IS HAVING A PROFESSIONAL MINDSET WHERE ALL MEMBERS WHO JOIN FEEL SAFE TO SHARE THEIR WORK, CREATIVE PROJECT AND PROCESS WITH FELLOW MEMBERS AND FEEL THEIR IDEAS CAN BE SHARED IN A PRIVATE ENVIRONMENT, WHERE IDEAS AND CONCEPTS ARE NOT ABUSED BY OTHER MEMBERS FOR PERSONAL OR PROFESSIONAL GAIN.
