They shoot as a dual-photographer team, capturing every moment from two distinct perspectives: close and wide, posed and candid, couple and crowd. Michaela Bell started taking photographs before she could name the equipment. Point-andshoot film cameras gave way to an iPod 4, which gave way to asking for a camera with the lens taken off for Christmas. She studied Photography Media Art at MacKenzie College, graduated in 2018, and went full-time in 2021 after two years of relentless hustling to establish her name across the Maritimes.

Based in Murray River on Prince Edward Island, Michaela shoots weddings and elopements across PEI, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia, with plans to expand her reach across Canada and internationally. Her approach is built on movement and instinct rather than formal posing. She reads the light, watches her couples like they are the leads in their own film, and lets the moments unfold. The result is documentary work with an editorial edge — natural, passionate, and distinctly hers. Her father has been her biggest supporter since day one, and that grounding shows in the way she works: warm, direct, and fully present. Michaela is as much wedding planner as photographer, building detailed timelines with her clients and managing the flow of the day so nothing falls through the cracks. Her clients tend to be detail-oriented and care deeply about how their day is documented.

She shoots 18 to 20 weddings a year, prefers full-day coverage, and is working toward a future in luxury weddings and destination elopements. When she is not behind a camera, you will find her on PEI’s red dirt roads with her cat Precious, adventuring with her fiancé, or having breakfast somewhere with a view of seagulls.
