Traditions should always be kept ✨even if the culture may be changing.

Even though this floating market was mostly filled with tourists buying Buddha’s or coconut pancakes; it was still nice to imagine how the floating market worked years before the tourists invaded. I took my mom here a few weeks ago and we both agreed that as amazing as it was it’s kind of a one time experience to see. Traditions and cultures are changing but make sure to research the history and imagine what places were like before the tourists took over!

When I was 13 I read this quote for the first time, and to this day it’s still my favorite quote. I don’t care that it’s been used a million times, or is sometimes printed on cheesy bracelets and posters. I believe that this quote has impact. If you dream big and work hard you can make any dream become your reality.

This was the question I continued to ask myself before I moved abroad. Seriously, what was I waiting for? If you’re thinking of moving abroad just do it. My biggest fear in life is regret and not moving abroad I knew I would regret it in the end. Don’t wait so you don’t regret!

For most people that must be the weirdest caption to read but in Thailand a lot of the lotions contain whitening cream. The most common question I received as a new teacher from my students: Teacher, is this your real skin? I never took it as offensive or rude, I was just different then my students. No matter the color of your skin be proud and know we’re all the same at the end of the day. Yes I am this pale, and it’s definitely not changing anytime soon 🤣

Objects are closer than they appear 💫

Another check off the bucket list! I have successfully taught 500+ students English for the past 5 months. It was an experience I will never forget and I am so thankful to have met all of my students. Now onto working full time again on ✨ If you aren’t already it would be great if you gave my company a follow 😊 More updates coming soon!

Don’t judge someone until you sit alongside them ✨

Teaching students is a job I think everyone should have at least once in their life. This experience has taught me so much about myself, and about how the little things you do everyday can really make an impact of someone else’s life. As I said goodbye to some of my students today, I reflect back to when I was a student. I don’t think I honestly ever realized how hard a teachers job really was until this experience. So thank you to my old teachers, and my students as you all have shaped me into the person I am today 🙏🏻

Sometimes you just have to walk away from it all ✌🏻

A year ago I walked away from my corporate job. Four months ago I walked away from New York. This time I’m not walking away from Thailand, not just yet. One more week of teaching and then the unknown begins. For once, I’m excited that I have no set plans or places to stay. With a remote business you really don’t need a “home base”. At least not for now 😂
