BUSINESS GROWTH: Samoa frozen produce and food

Over 80% of taro consumers in New Zealand are Samoans with most preferring fresh taro. In July 2018 marketing company Event Polynesia Limited teamed up with Buy Pacific Made consortium and Samoa Tradition Farmers & Growers, supplier of frozen talo, ulu, ta’amu and fa’i, in a joint effort to stimulate and grow the market for Samoa frozen produce. Today two more Samoa suppliers have entered the New Zealand market to meet the growing demand.
