She has 10 years experience working on a large variety of design pieces including brochures, advertising campaigns, logos, editorial layout, invitations, posters, large-scale tradeshow and retail graphics and websites. She's been taking photos of everything in sight for over 15 years. Her photography is mostly of her travels and includes locations around the United States, Europe, Central America

and the Caribbean. Her photos range from landscapes and wildlife to flowers, close-up details and abstract images. Lauren is an animal advocate and works closely with a number of local rescue groups including acting as the marketing and design coordinator for Houston Eskimo Rescue. She has two rescue dogs of her own and works to find homes for as many more as possible through marketing, networking, photography and charity work. She takes photographs of shelter and rescue dogs so their true personality can shine to potential adopters. Each year she participates in the 5K of the Houston Chevron Marathon in support of Citizens for Animal Protection where one of her rescue pups was adopted from.

I've been doing a lot of advertising and social media promotion work for the Houston Gem & Mineral Society for their upcoming annual show which starts tomorrow (Fri Nov 8), and runs through Sunday. Anyone in the Houston area with an interest in minerals, jewelry, fossils, or fun activities for the kiddos should check it out as there's always great dealers with excellent deals. Humble Civic Center right near IAH. Tickets are only $8 and good for all 3 days. Free parking.

Working on an illustration based on the show Outlander...winner gets tickets to NY Comic Con 😀

Overall poster design plus detail shots. Concept combines the stones at Craigh na dun and the trees and mountains at Fraser's Ridge in North Carolina. Fingers crossed the judges like it!

Excited for the Houston World Series of Dog Shows to start tomorrow down at NRG Stadium and run through the weekend. Can't wait to see all the beautiful dogs, both those being shown in the ring and pups on rescue row looking for their forever homes. Tomorrow, Wednesday, stop by the Golden Retriever Club of Houston's table near the conformation judging. They're raffling off a photo session with me to capture your very own furry friend. A wonderful session capturing the love and connection between Oscar and Isa and their sweet golden Potty. These are some of the favorites. Sadly he's been given a hard medical diagnosis lately, but hoping for the best and the most time with this beautiful boy as possible. It was such a joy to share these images with them and see their reactions.
