I have been writing all my life. My work has been published in anthologies, magazines, literary journals, and stand-alone volumes. Problem with oldskool print publications is that copies are tough to find and, sometimes, out of print. In essence, the work becomes inaccessible to the vast majority of people. Amazon to the rescue! I decided to start digitizing my work (mostly the published, as well as some of the unpublished), into a series of e-books of various sizes that I will make available to readers, preserving it, with any luck, for posterity. I cut my teeth as a writer, editor and literature translator in traditional print publishing – yep, the 'oldskool' way that entailed hard work, exceptional writing skills, depth and breadth of education. I knew little about her and, when the opportunity to see her arose, I refrained from doing research; I wanted to remain as free of expectations as possible. Last night, my BFF (best foodie friend) and I succumbed to piggery again at the all-you-can-eat Aji Sai Japanese Restaurant, 467 Queen St West, in Toronto. Sure, we’ve had far more refined Japanese cuisine, but value for money creates return customers, including us.
