IN MEMORIAM
We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of our partner, co-worker, and friend, Margaret Ruth who passed away on June 18, 2022. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to her husband, Jack, and daughter, Annie, both of whom she loved dearly.
Margaret grew up in Baltimore City and graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Business. She passed the CPA exam and for the last fourteen years was one of the founding shareholders of Balsamo, Stewart, Lutters & Ruth, P.A. where she enjoyed working with her clients and helping them with many business matters. Margaret specialized in accounting and tax compliance for a variety of clients, particularly contractors, developers, farmers, and professional service firms. She particularly enjoyed working with new start-up businesses.
Margaret served as the Treasurer for the Northeastern Maryland Technology Council for more than ten years. She was also a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
She was a QuickBooks Certified Professional Advisor and enjoyed assisting clients with the implementation, training, and operation of QuickBooks software.
As a firm, and individually, we will all truly miss Margaret’s presence in our office and in our lives.
