Basic Must Haves You Should Look For In A CRM

Finding a CRM that works well with you and for you can be overwhelming. With so many features and benefits, shopping around can create more questions than answers.

Here are the must haves for your CRM so you can skillfully navigate the CRM buying process:

Pipeline Stages: Your CRM should contain a digital board where you can easily see what stage each lead of your pipeline is in. Not only will this give you clear direction on who is the most important to contact for the day, but it will also help you identify bottlenecks in your sales process.

Calling, SMS, and Email: Having clear communication from all three channels helps limit the possibility of lost conversations. Instead of searching for an email or scrolling through looking for a text conversation, your CRM should allow you to see all email, text, and phone call communications associated with your contact on one, easy-to-navigate page.

Pre-Built Campaigns: Few things are worse than having to start from the very beginning with no processes and standards for engagement. Make sure your CRM comes with tested sms and email drip campaigns. This will help your CRM get off the ground quickly, allowing you to recoup your investment faster and grow your business.

BONUS- Integrations: Adding leads generated from Facebook and Google to your pipeline helps eliminate MANY extra software costs and could save you around $900 for this one feature alone. Always look for a CRM that allows for direct connections to other platforms.

The best CRMs contain advanced features that are customizable to fit your needs. The CRM that’s right for you will be user-friendly and have great support systems, however you define it. What does the “best” mean to you?

Simplify your workload by using a CRM to manage your life insurance leads.

If you have no idea on where to start looking for a CRM or need to find a better one. Shoot me a DM, I want to show you what we’re doing and how we’re doing it. This way you have a better understanding of what you should be looking for. I have a special offer for those that reach out.

How will a CRM help me convert my leads?
Every day my team and I have conversations with life insurance agents about this question. I don’t think the question stems from an agent’s lack of understanding but rather their lack of access to proper resources.
A lot of agents “have a CRM” but it’s far from anything that’s actually useful for anything other than buying leads. If agents aren’t using it properly, It’s typically no better than a google spreadsheet
CRM stands for Customer Reach Management. This is a platform for you to systemize and track your pipeline. With a CRM, 99% of the time you are able to automate many of your daily tasks and functions allowing you to focus on those leads in the most valuable stage in your pipeline. It allows you to automate speed to lead contacting, outbound calling, and even book appointments through text messages for qualifying leads.
The end goal of a CRM is to keep you as the agent focused on 2 primary tasks: Getting appointments and closing appointments.
Allowing your CRM to help you start conversations and book appointments will help optimize your time and ultimately lead to you closing more policies. The CRM opens up your schedule, granting you freedom from daily grinding tasks, follow-ups, long-term nurturing, and the rush to contact leads as soon as they come in.
Top producers focus on leads that are in two stages of their pipeline: Appointment Set and Follow-Up Required (this stage is to confirm closing the policy or to finalize the details of the sale.)
Managing your pipeline with a CRM is easy but requires discipline. This means putting your notes on your leads and tagging leads with the appropriate tag so the system knows the next step with the lead. This is how you stay organized and beat the competition.
If you’re reading this and thinking a CRM could help you with the leads you have now, you’re right. Not only are you able to manage and sell to leads actively coming into your pipeline. But you’re also able to use reactivation campaigns to find hidden potential customers within your database.
Many agents are able to revive their database and find hidden deals simply because they’re able to reach out to tons of people quickly and automatically. But most importantly, they are able to contact every lead consistently because the CRM is handling/starting the conversation on their behalf.
