MY PODCAST IS RETIRED for now. (The next slide delves into some of my feelings about it.) But, the seashells are significant too.
David, my sister's son, asked me to help him look for shells one afternoon on our beach trip in August. Of course, I said yes because every "hunt" with David is an adventure. He collects good things like dead crabs, glass bottle tops and old rope.
So, I knew we'd find some "treasures."
As we looked and ooh-ed and aah-ed over his finds, I was reminded of the simple act of being mesmerized. Each shell had its own coloring, shape and even chipped spots, which made it even more precious because it was a sign of a story.
When he laid out of all his treasures (the picture above) and we looked at them as a collection, it dawned on me.
My podcast was like his seashells.
It's a collection of little treasures.
When you view it as individual episodes, you clearly see the ridges in each one - the unique story of the guest, the lessons learned by a specific event, the humor and sometimes the tears.
And then when you stand back and view the podcast as a whole - wow! What a group of beautiful shells...of beautiful souls who kindly shared themselves with collectors like me.
If you were a guest or an inspiration for an episode, thank you. 💗
If you listened (or still listening), thank you. 💗
I'm proud of the collection and so very appreciative of the individuals who make it beautiful.
