After a lot of encouragement and support from awesome people here in the southern Illinois region, I've started my own social media consulting business :)

I have a deep passion for video production and helping people feel more comfortable developing a personal brand. I can't wait to help businesses, people and government in a region that has become my home.

To all my friends in California and Michigan, I also have virtual offerings for social media & video training, don't hesitate to reach out!

I intend for this new page to not only be a way to promote my business, but be a conversation starter about social media and how to use it.

To my friends and family on Facebook, so many many of you have followed me for news updates for years. From southern Illinois, to Michigan and finally to Sacramento, California. My account has been quiet lately because I’ve left the industry altogether. Due to illness in my family, I returned home to Carbondale, IL to help provide caregiver support. I wanted to thank you all for your encouragement and your support. Local news can be a tough career to pursue. And for the decade I was in it, it was people like you who helped me the most. You helped me believe in the good in people. Thank you to the hundreds of people I have interviewed. Thank you for sharing your story. Many of you are my friends on here.

For now, I could use your prayers in a time where my family is in need. I plan to pursue work in media consulting by starting my own business. I also plan to attend school at Southern Illinois University next fall and get a Masters in public administration so I can continue my passion for public service.

Thank you all, for everything. I may be saying goodbye to journalism, but my passion for helping people is far from over. I believe this next phase of my life will help me do that more than ever.
