"Work is love made visible."

These words have always inspired host, Lisa McGuire, Ed.S., except when she was buried under deadlines and staring at a to-do list she wanted nothing to do with.

This episode asks you to consider -
What if our relationship with work isn’t supposed to be about grinding and obligation... but about devotion and love?

In this episode, Lisa shares the moment everything shifted. It was the day she stopped seeing work as a burden and began viewing it as a sacred expression of her identity. This wasn’t about quitting everything or starting over; it was about changing how she showed up for the work already in front of her.

You'll hear how culture has shaped our beliefs around work—from the survival-driven hustle to the deeper call for fulfillment, impact, and authenticity. You’ll learn how to shift from resistance to inspiration and how to identify that zone of genius where your natural gifts and joy collide.

And we’ll go even deeper. You'll be introduced to the transformational lens of Human Design—your energetic blueprint for how you’re meant to work, thrive, and serve. When you understand how you’re designed, clarity comes rushing in, and alignment becomes possible.

Whether you’re burned out, uninspired, or simply craving a more meaningful connection to your work, this episode is your invitation to reconnect to the truth:

Your work is not separate from your purpose.
It is the canvas for your soul to be seen.

Your gifts matter.
Your presence matters.
And the world is waiting for your love to be made visible through the work only you were born to do.

In this powerful episode, Lisa McGuire, is joined again by Jim Huling, executive coach and co-author of the best-selling book 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

Together, they explore what it means to lead with humanity, especially when workplaces crave connection, meaning, and authenticity more than ever.

Jim breaks down how leadership has evolved—from the old days of command-and-control to today’s growing need for purpose-driven, human-centered leadership. With four decades of experience, he shares real stories, thoughtful insights, and practical ways leaders can begin to build trust, foster engagement, and create meaningful cultures—starting now.

From the power of a handwritten note to the simple question every team member is asking (“Does what I do matter?”), this episode is a reminder that leadership isn’t about authority—it’s about impact.

No matter the size of the team you lead, this conversation will challenge and encourage you to lead in a way that’s not only more effective, but deeply human.

• The best leaders connect before they correct.
• “No involvement, no commitment” — people support what they help create.
• Trust and psychological safety drive real performance..
• Authentic leadership is about being, not just appearing.
• Every employee wants to feel like they matter—and that someone cares.
• Culture lives in daily behaviors, not in a framed mission statement.
• Your legacy will be defined by how you led, not what you achieved.

We have this fascination with the idea of intelligence.

Consider how much we celebrate...
Someone who has a high IQ...
The ability to think critically...
The brilliance we recognize when someone solves a complex problem.

This idea that our mind holds all of the answers is not always what it seems.

Today’s guest on Your Passion, Purpose and Personal Brand Podcast is Ursula Lentine. Doctor of Consciousness Study, a subconscious specialist in Internal Family Systems, licensed minister, and speaker.

She’s had over 6000 healing sessions with individuals, influenced thousands in audiences, and is impacting the corporate setting with her transformational work.

We hear a lot about the power of the subconscious mind, but what does that really mean?

She notes the voice we hear when we talk to ourselves.

Each of us hears that voice all day long, but we rarely talk to others about it.

Why?

It’s usually negative talk that you wouldn't think of saying to others.

This is our 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 mind.

Those messages come from:
• The stories we tell ourselves from the events we experience
• Thought patterns based on our belief systems
• Our emotions we feel (the energy in motion inside of us)

On the other hand, the 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 mind gets to work when we are dreaming, in a prayer state, or hypnosis.

Those are two operating systems that handle different information.

Then there’s the information we carry within the cells of our body.

It’s called epigenetics

Unprocessed trauma is stored in our bodies.
It gets passed through generations in our DNA

We can experience trauma and not realize where it came from.

Imagine that you have a fear that was passed down through generations.
You can stop it from moving on by healing yourself.

If you are curious about the wisdom that comes from the mind and the body, you’ll want to listen to this conversation.

Want to know how personal branding works?

I first heard of Chelsea Brinkley three years ago. One of her clients shared a social media post about how she had helped him get his business under control by developing processes and systems.

That sounded like a dream to me.

Why? Because it identified the solution to a problem I had.

👆This is the hook.

I imagined what it would be like to have a professional come in to look at what you do and organize your work life.

Three months later I had a chance to meet her in person.

👆This is the opportunity.

Note: Opportunity doesn’t always come in person. It might be a connection on LinkedIn, a webinar event, or reading content to get to know them better.

➡️ I heard Chelsea share her beliefs about the benefits of organizing your life.

➡️ I saw the results of her work at an event.

➡️ I resonated with her attention to detail.

I was immediately drawn to work with her because I saw a bit of myself reflected in who she was.

👆This is how personal branding works to grow your business.

✅ I recognized she provided a solution to a problem I had.
✅ I had a chance to learn more about her expertise.
✅ It was only when I felt a connection to her (this is a relational emotion, folks) that was the tipping point to decide I wanted to work with her.

Today she helps entrepreneurs and small business owners create efficient businesses to create the life they want on their own terms.

And she models this in her own life…working remotely and traveling the world with her husband, toddler, and dog.

I sat down with Chelsea for a podcast conversation a few weeks ago, where we chatted about how to live the life that we want…either as a remote worker or as someone who benefits from partnering with someone who works remotely.

You are invited to listen to see what you learn about how you can create better systems or have a positive remote working experience.
