I'm not saying it's easy but it doesn't need to be as hard as your making it out to be in your head.

Email marketing doesn't need to be another thing you add to your plate.

Some people woukd rather eat a 5 day old meat lovers pizza slice than send emails.

If that's you then no worries, scroll away.

But if the only thing holding you back from email is fear that it's going to be too much then I'll hapilly suggest some ways to make it easier.

Too many email ideas?

Yep, it's a thing.

You have choices to make. You can plan first or prioritise after. Or combine the two.

I prefer the strategy but if it's not email (which I have a strategy and plan for) and you don't have a plan you use this:

The eisenhower matrix.

You brain dump down your ideas then sort them into urgent and non urgent AND important and not important. Then draw your grid and sort them using the matrix I've shown you in this post.

I also use this for lead magnets as well. It's always better to have a strategy first. But if you're overwhelmed with ideas this can be a simple way forward.

Helpful and have a question? Comment Strategy (no automation) and I'll message you to find out more about your question.

What I'm doing (and not doing) this Mothers Day as an email marketer with kids

Working, it's a Sunday anyway
Sending emails manually (I prefer to work smarter not harder)

I'll be spending time with my kids and getting a much needed sleep in.

I hope you get spoiled, or at least a cuppa and cuddle.

Happy Mothers Day New Zealand

Wanna know how you can get more email engagement, stay top of mind and sell more of your programs?

Set up a lead nurture sequence that is triggered when a subscriber's behaviour shows their thinking 'yeah I'm interested in that'.

Lead nurture sequence, drip sequence, nurture sequence... are a whole lotta of ways of saying emails sent automatically.

Marketers love their jargon just like scientists, healthcare professionals and academics.

They're basically a series of emails sent automatically to people who have shown interest in a particular topic. The goal is to move them to the next step.

But there are some differences. Do you know what they are?

💌 The lead nurture sequence is focused on getting them to the next step after downloading a lead magnet or taking some action to show they're interested (more than just subscribing).
💌 The B2B drip sequence is a series of emails sent over weeks or even months that provide value, educate, handle objections, and keep you top of mind.
💌 A nurture sequence could be either, it's a bit vague.

If you run paid ads, or want to increase your conversion rate ( eg. from follower to subscribers to client) then you'll want one of these.

If this sounds like something you'd like to explore for your business then drop a 🔥 below.

I love chatting in the DMs with similar souls 💙 But when it comes to business email is my one true love 💌

Am I the only one?

The little red notification on your social media app lights up, 🔔 and you feel that little spark of excitement. Or is it terror for my overwhelmed peeps?

You’re having great conversations in your DMs, answering questions in the comments, and building a true community. Provided they don't get lost.

The problem is, while you’re building your shopfront only on rented land, you're missing a key opportunity.

Social media is a great way to meet people and chat too.

I've had heaps of great convo's in the DM's (you know who you are). 🫶

Instagram and its buddies are part of the many marketing channels we can access for free.

But that doesn't change that your email list is, or can be, like your home.

By that I mean a private space where you can invite your people in, have warm and thoughtful conversations, and build connection.

It's a space where you can share your best insights, guide them on a journey, and offer your services from a place of trust and authority.

For me, I love having an intentional place for those convo's that don't feel so pressured and immediate.

So your business can thrive, no matter what happens on social media and what commitments you have going on.

Happy email day and thank you from an introvert and email geek

Thank you Ray Tomlinson, the computer programmer who changed communication forever in 1971 when he sent the first networked message.

And thank you for helping to make this day a thing. What a great opportunity to celebrate Rays' legacy and the impact he has had on our lives.

If email is a good thing in your life then here's my challenge to you today:

Send a thoughtful email to someone you care about today.

Or, if you’re an introvert like me, save yourself from an unnecessary meeting by sending an email instead.

A welcome email or welcome sequence is a non-negotiable but when I check most service providers and coaches in New Zealand don't have one.

Email welcome sequences get pretty impressive open and click rates.

I just checked out the latest Klaviyo report and them automations click rates are decent. Not surprised but wow 🥳

Here are 5 signs it might be time for a tune-up:

📧 Low opens - opens are normally inflated by pre-opening email software
📧 High unsubscribe rates that make you wince need fixing STAT. Unsubscribes are normal with email marketing. But if there's an increase or many subscribers hitting that unsubscribe button after your welcome emails? 🚩🚩🚩
📧 Zero clicks, replies... 😷
📧 Your welcome sequence is talking about last years book launch that's coming soon. 😬 This is why I suggest you keep your welcome sequence as close to evergreen as possible.
📧 Does your welcome sequence feel impersonal and robotic like AI? 🤖 Let's be honest it seemed good when you generated it but now you, and your subscribers, know that your fave AI wrote it. No judgement but that needs fixing.

If your welcome sequence isn't getting the results it should (I'm talking some serious loving), then you need this...

Message me WELCOME1 for your free welcome sequence checklist to get your welcome sequence rocking (and working for you).

The honest truth on how I build trust with email marketing

I build trust by:
💙Writing my emails with my values, or my clients, in mind (integrity, empathy, family and people-first, authenticity, curiosity and consent.)
💙 Sending emails when someone signs up to deliver their freebie, introduce myself, show I care and provide value so they stay interested and remember me.
💙 Letting them know the purpose in the email
💙 Curiosity around what my audience and clients need right now in every email and interaction
💙 Review my email strategy and email data to ensure I'm delivering what they need.
💙 When it comes so social media, I'm not as consistent as I'd like, but with my emails I am.

There are many ways to build trust and I'm sure you're showing your values with your coaching clients. 👉How do you build trust with your clients and audience?

No seriously, I'm curious to hear your answer.

Till next time.

Tiffany
