I think you all know by now that I have an obsession with birds and really enjoy drawing them. Maybe deep down I envy them. Flying is a dream of mine and they are naturally equipped with wings to fly.

This is a collection of “herons on the lake”, I haven’t uploaded them to Spoonflower yet but it’s in the works.

What background color is your favorite? Do you like the dark green or the light pink?

The first time I saw a heron I was over the moon excited. I went somewhere quiet and observed it for a good 20-30 minutes. They are such beautiful and smart creatures. I love the way they sneak up on the little fishes of a pond, stay quiet and focused, then quickly attack.

Have you seen one in person?

Do you make your own mockups? Or do you purchase ready to use packages? Is there one you’d like to recommend others?

When I go on walks, I pay extra attention to trees. Their adversity in color, shape, and size always amazes me. I love collecting leaves to later study and draw them at home. I grew up in a Persian household covered with Persian carpets. In Persian rugs, trees are commonly depicted as central motifs or as part of the overall design. The presence of trees in Persian carpets can represent the eternal cycle of life and nature's resilience. Persian carpets may have been where my obsession with trees started first.

Do you like trees? what is it about them that catches your attention?

Here is my latest wallpaper collection inspired by the mesmerizing beauty of peacocks and blossom trees!
Peacocks are often symbols of beauty, grace, and immortality. They are frequently depicted in tapestries, paintings, and other artworks as symbols of royalty, divinity, and protection. Did you know in Hindu mythology, the peacock is associated with various deities, particularly Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom and learning, and Kartikeya, the god of war? Peacocks are also considered auspicious symbols of good fortune and prosperity in many Asian traditions.

What do they mean to you?

Did you know that colorful feathers of a peacock, often called its "tail," are actually not tail feathers at all? They're "train feathers" and they grow from the bird's back, not its tail. Peaccocks are such majestic birds and so interesting to draw. I often find myself lost in studying all the beautiful features and all the details on their feathers.
For this wallpaper design, I wanted to draw all the different types of peacocks surrounded by blossom trees on lush green hills.

I always enjoy drawing flowers. Whenever I get artist block or don't feel very inspired, I try to sketch some flowers and just have fun with it. The way their pedals fold and how light and shadow dance around each lille feature excites me. But I specifically enjoy drawing carnations.

What is your favorite flower to draw?

An illustration of song birds on lush pomegranate trees in full bloom. This illustration is a part of my "Spring Pomegranate garden" wallpaper collection. I have always enjoyed drawing pomegranate tree. Pomegranate has rich symbolism in Persian culture, representing fertility and prosperity. It is often depicted in Persian art as a symbol of life, vitality, and the cycle of renewal and it be seen in various forms of art, such as intricate designs on carpets, textiles, ceramics, and manuscripts.

Do you like pomegranate threes? what does it symbolize in your culture?

A design filled with unicorns and blossom trees to create a simple but whimsical world of wonder and imagination. This is a filler pattern from the "Mystical unicorn and foxes collection". To see more variations of the pattern collections and the more complex compositions of the collection open the Spoonflower link in Bio.🌸🦄

This collection features foxes, rabbits, and ducks frolic in harmony. Each character symbolizes different aspects of nature and life. While creating this collection, I faced the challenge of balancing intricate details with a cohesive composition. From capturing the ducks' playful flight to the delicate blossoms on trees, every element had to harmonize seamlessly.

Did you know that cherry blossoms have different meanings in Japanese culture? They symbolize the beauty and fleeting nature of life, as well as renewal and the arrival of spring. This symbolism is celebrated annually during the Hanami festival, where people gather to appreciate the beauty of cherry blossoms. It’s a beautiful reminder to cherish each moment.

Did you know hummingbirds are the only birds that can fly backward? Their wing structure allows them to hover in place and even fly upside down! They also eat twice their body weight to fuel their high metabolism. I can't get enough of them, can you?

This pattern is from the "Hummingbirds amidst lush fuchsia" collection. Visit my Spoonflower shop and search for Design #16259942 .
