Publish Like a Pro

Hi!
It's been a long time since I posted on this page. SO MUCH has changed since then, and it hasn't all been bad. I'm sure things have changed for you too. In the past year, I have said, "YES" to more projects than I would have in the past. I learned so many new things. Here are a few examples:

I helped an author produce an audiobook with ACX. ACX is Amazon's audiobook company, where you can find narrators and editors who will help you launch your audiobook on Amazon, iTunes, and other platforms. What we learned:

*Getting a great narrator is half the battle. Most of them edit along with narrating, and will guide you through the steps on ACX.
*Be sure you check the correct box on the ACX distribution agreement (exclusive with a higher royalty rate or non-exclusive with a lower rate). It's hard to change later.
*Give the process plenty of time. The narrator will need lead time, and you will need to check every word against the print book to make sure it's correct. After that, ACX quality control will review the files before anything goes online.
