I love a good pile of books on my bedside table... and this one really captures where I’m at!
💚 Aroha for some inspiration and grounding.
✨ Seven Sisters series. I’m up to book 6! They are hefty. But I love the different story lines and travel into the past and around the world. Totally captured me. I’ve read each of these almost back to back this year.
🏡 Under the Tuscan Sun - never read this in the 90s when it was released and picked up this for $1 at a fair. Was a fave of one of my fave people and it’s pure escapism! Who doesn’t want to be renovating an old villa in Tuscany in a world that’s not in the midst of a pandemic? Taps into two of my passions... Reno’s and travel!
👩💻 Confessions of a Misfit Entrepreneur - wonderfully candid and reassuring that it’s not all meditation at 5, strategy at 7 and constant chasing. More about making your biz journey yours!
🔮 Make It Happen - love the practical focussed work, along with a little woo-woo!
Of course I’m dipping in and out of these (apart from The Sun Sister) and feeding my inspiration when I need it. And sometimes it’s motivation and sometimes it’s pure escapism from the crazy ol’ world.
Words, reading, books and especially the old fashioned paper type is still my favourite for curling up and being engaged. Away from a screen and those demanding beeps and vibrations.
Feeds my writing inspiration and creative brain...
What do you live to read? What’s on your bedside table?
