"When I chose the name Skull House Group, people closest to me couldn't understand why I would choose to use the word "group" when at the time I was just one person. I felt very strongly that even if it was only one person forever, the "Group" in the name included my clients in the partnership. I firmly believe that design is a collaborative process and that your client's voice & opinion is even more critical to a successful project than the designer working on it. This project lived up to that collaboration. Stone Tower Coffee Roasters would bring up a concept that was important to them, and I would head to the drawing board to figure out how to make that concept visual. This makes the final product something that has meaning to the business, and something that will last for years because it's based on meaning, not visual trends. It makes their investment in their brand last."
