This weekend I took a few days off, watched my beautiful friend get married (as a bridesmaid), celebrated my birthday (a lot), and did not stress about the work I could be doing.

Social media makes it easy to constantly question whether we are doing enough. But the real question should be ‘am I living enough?’

It’s funny that when I was in college the term branded content didn’t exist, and that was only 5 years ago!In fact, in my graphic design classes, our branding projects consisted of a logo, colors, fonts, a mission, and some collateral design like, businesses cards or letterhead. And while those items are still important, the rise of social media and the advancement of design technology have taken branding to a level that exponentially encompasses your audience. These days, we have secondary logos, sub marks, icons, pattern designs, and an even greater importance in really solidifying who you are and what you stand for.
I cannot believe how quickly the design industry has changed in such a short period of time. But the good news is it has brought endless opportunities to learn and grow.

Designed a little business card/care card for plant purchases. Since plant inventory changes so frequently, I designed a fill-in-the-blank card that will be handwritten for each piece available. That way, there is no need to print new cards for every plant and it adds a personalized touch to every order.
Sea of Ferns began as an outlet for my two favorite hobbies: thrifting and houseplants. It started a few weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic as a local pickup only, Instagram based shop. When social distancing was initiated and businesses started closing, I thought that would be the end of my new baby. However, since announcing a contactless pickup last week, I’ve sold several pieces! I put so much love into this shop that it makes me feel all warm and bubbly to invite such unique pieces into others homes.
